The matter related to sewage water being discharged from an unauthorized colony in open at Kundan Nagar, Ajmer, Rajasthan. The NGT in its order of July 24, 2019 asked for a factual and action taken report from the Nagar Nigam, Ajmer on the matter.

The matter relates to large scale illegal minings being carried out in village Surajpura, Gopal Sagar, Kanakheda, Piplaz and Lehri and surrounding area in Ajmer, Rajasthan, especially near the catchment area of Shakti Sagar Lake. The Tribunal, expressed its displeasure at the lack of compliance of the NGT order of February 28, 2017, which included re-filling of pits, removal of anikits, restoration of the land of catchment area to its original form.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bhanwar Lal & Others Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 06/02/2020 regarding illegal mining around Khantipur area, Ajmer, Rajasthan. Further, illegl mining was preventing the free flow of water into the Shakti Sagar lake. This execution application has been filed with the prayer to direct the authority to comply with the directions issued by the Tribunal in original application (91/2015) and decided on February 28, 2017.
