Affidavit in reply by the Khadakwasal Irrigation Division in the matter of Harmony Cooperative Housing Society & Others Vs The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation & Others dated 18/11/2020.
The matter relates to the construction of a cremation facility at Ravet, Pune in the Pavana river basin area without obtaining the approval of the statutory authorities.

The affidavit stated that the construction of the cremation facility had started even before the applicants (Harmony Cooperative Housing Society) started living in the area. Only when 63% of the work got completed, the applicant challenged it in court. An inspection of the site was done October 12, 2020 and the site was found well within the red line and blue line of Pavana river.
