Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Saroj Kumar Mishra Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 11/01/2021. The matter related to violation of environmental norms by a mill in Banda Road, Powayan, Janpad Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It is stated that the ash generated from the mill and the polluted air are resulting in diseases in the area. The pollution is also affecting the students of Didar Singh Rana School, Takiya Road, Powayan, Shahjahanpur. The mill is required to install requisite equipment including filters to stop pollution.

The NGT directed the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board to verify the factual position and take necessary action. An action taken report has to be furnished to the NGT within two months by the State PCB.
