Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Subhash Gupta & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 10/02/2021. An application was filed in the NGT to enforce the order of July 23, 2018 for proper maintenance of storm water drains in Gurgaon. The report of GMDA filed February 8, 2020 (the latest) has stated that 47.7 MLD was yet to be diverted/treated.

The NGT noted that there was a huge gap in generation and treatment of sewage. The NGT directed the Chief Secretary of Haryana to take remedial action to ensure the compliance of the constitutional mandate and for the safety of the citizens.
