Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Tanaji Ruikar Tanaji Ruikar Vs Kolhapur Municipal Corporation & Others dated 11/01/2022.

The issue raised in the application is the operation of slaughter house at R. S. No. 46/4K, Bapat Camp, opposite Shri Shahu Market Yard, E-Ward, taluka Karveer, Kolhapur without obtaining any valid Consent to Operate from Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and Environmental rules related to air, water and discharging effluents into the ground water, drains, rivers and extracting ground water without any lawful authority and in violation of guidelines issued by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
