The NGT, August 18, 2022 expressed its displeasure with the state of Arunachal Pradesh, praying for more time for filing its reply on the matter of disposal of waste into the rivers Senki, Pachin and Dikrong.

The matter has been pending in the court since November 2020 and the court refused to grant any further time to the government of Arunachal Pradesh for filing counter-affidavit. The state government was supposed to bring on record the action taken plan to remedy the environmental degradation caused to the three rivers Senki, Pachin and Dikrong.
