Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vipin Tyagi & Others Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 17/10/2022. Grievance in the application is against damage to the ponds in village Morta, ward no. 20, Ghaziabad. It was stated that garbage is being dumped into the ponds on account of which there is foul smell in the area.

The NGT directed the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad to take appropriate remedial action against dumping of garbage in the ponds, village Morta, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. An action taken report with photographs should be furnished by the Commissioner to the Registrar General of the NGT, the order added.
