Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of D K Joshi Vs State of Uttarakhand dated 04/01/2023.
D K Joshi an advocate by profession filed an application before the NGT against the dumping of muck, debris and illegal cutting of trees in the process of construction of Bironkhal-Kedargali-Naulapur-Khetu motor road. The construction is taking place near Nakuri, National Highway 309. "Due to this NH 309 and State Highway No. 51 (Bironkhal-Kedargali-Naulapur-Khetu Motor Road) has been blocked," the court was informed.
Taking into account the complaint, the NGT directed that the matter need to be examined by a joint committee comprising the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board and the District Magistrate, Pauri Garhwal to look into the matter.
