The matter is related to illegal operation of brick kilns, Ajmatpur Bindki, Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. A report filed by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) had filed a general report stating that in district Fatehpur about 490 brick kilns were identified out of which 2 brick kilns were dismantled, 212 brick kilns are closed by UPPCB and remaining 276 brick kilns have valid consent to operate.
The NGT, December 21 directed the UPPCB to disclose the status of the Pehlwan Brick Klin at Ajmatpur Bindki, Fatehpur. The report has to be filed before the next date of hearing, February 12, 2024.
