Special Assistant to Chief Adviser for Environment, Forest and CHT Affairs Raja Devashish Roy has stressed the need for combined efforts of public and private sectors to promote the country's forest resources through tree plantation.

"The developed countries should come forward to help those facing the environmental challenges since they contribute a lot to climate change,' he said.

Devashish Roy was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a month-long Tree Fair2008 organised by Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) at Outer Stadium yesterday afternoon.
