The Centre is planning increase in the outlay for agriculture in the 11th five-year plan. In the 10th five-year plan, an amount of Rs 20,000 crore was earmarked for agriculture. In the next plan, the amount has been raised to Rs 1 lakh crore (Rs 1 trillion).
