Leader of the Opposition Manohar Parrikar today charged that officials are not active in plugging leakages in the revenue while referring to non-payment of VAT by some mineral ore traders.
Raising up the issue during Question Hour on Wednesday, Parrikar by referring to information tabled, pointed out that during 2007-2008, dealers did not pay VAT on value of iron ore sold.
