The government on Wednesday confirmed the presence of deadly chemical diethylene glycol in the paracetamol syrup produced by Rid Pharma, but said the probe body did not investigate the death of 24 children apparently caused by the toxic syrup.
It will file cases against the company and its owners on charges of using toxic chemical in syrup and violating drug rules.
