A USD 500 million joint venture of Sri Lanka-India for the construction of a coal power plant will commence in Sampur, Trincomalee on November 10, Power and Energy Ministry revealed.
The power purchase agreement with regard to the joint venture will be signed in Colombo at the end of this month.
