The overall objective of this document on Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Guidelines is the realisation of the vision of the nation of putting the concept of prevention of nuclear and radiological emergencies into practice. However,
in rare cases of their occurrence due to factors beyond human control, such emergencies will be managed through certain pre-planned and established structural and non-structural measures by the various stakeholders in a manner that will minimise risks to health, life and the environment.
