KOLKATA, 25 JULY: Despite implementing the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme nine years back, more than 50 per cent of the students who get enrolled in class I in the state drop out before reaching even class IX. This has been revealed by the Assembly Standing Committee on School Education.
