The Delhi high court has ordered the city government to clarify its stand on shifting 2,600 unauthorised dairies from different parts of the city to a proposed dairy colony. The court also issued notices to the ministry of health and the animal welfare director on the manufacture and sale of oxytocin, a medicine, used for increasing the milk producing capacity of cows and buffaloes. People for Animals, a non-governmental organisation, in a plea said oxytocin was a "danger ous' drug, which has harmful effect on humans, especially children.
