Where did the birds go? [1]

Shyam Sundar Vattam

In the name of urbanisation, the city is losing a variety of exotic birds. Converting agricultural lands into sites, encroaching upon the natural tanks and using of pesticides by farmers in the surroundings of the city have resulted in the dwindling population of the birds, writes Shyam Sundar Vattam

Endangered: Great White Pelican.
