SYED AKBAR HYDERABAD March 21: A seven-km deep bore hole will be dug in Maharashtra to gain firsthand information about what causes earthquakes in "stable" areas.
The bore hole, the first of its kind in the world, will provide Indian geophysicists clues about the physical, geological and chemical processes and properties of earthquakes in real-time.
