Jorhat, May 20: A mini-Kaziranga is in the making on a sandbar along the Brahmaputra in northwest Jorhat.
A herd of wild buffaloes have been sighted inside Molai Kathonibari, a wooded area 16km from Jorhat town, for the first time.
The area already has a sizeable population of deer, a tigress with two cubs and is frequented by wild elephants.
