GUWAHATI/IMPHAL/AGARTALA: Five people drowned in the current spate of floods in Assam on Sunday, taking the death toll to 11 in the state since the first wave hit the state five days ago.
The flood has affected over 740 villages in Lakhimpur, Golaghat, Jorhat, Cachar, Dhemaji, Biswanath, Karimganj, Sonitpur, Darrang, Hojai, Majuli, Barpeta and Nagaon districts of the state.
