“War in the Gulf will have profound effect on India”
Observing that a war in the Gulf would have a profound effect on India, an American expert on the Middle East, Jon Alterman, said New Delhi needed a national strategy to deal with rising threat to its security, particularly on the energy front. Mr. Alterman holds the Zbigniew Brzezisnki Chair in Global Security and Geo-strategy and is director of the Middle East programme at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies, a non-governmental think-tank.
