To enforce new Land Acquisition Act in letter and spirit
Against the backdrop of the new Land Acquisition Act coming into operation from January 1, the Legal Department, through a circular to the Chief Secretary and other heads of departments, asked them to put land acquisition proceedings on hold and issue notifications only “after preparing the same in accordance with the new Act.”
