Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Dr. Irfan Ahmad & Ors. Vs. Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora & Ors. dated 29/08/2014 regarding landfill dumping site at Achan, Srinagar. The Tribunal has directed the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation to discuss with the State Government and take clear instruction as to the amount which should be charged from each Household, Restaurant, Hotels and Commercial Complex on the principal of polluter pays. Further they will take instruction as to how the chicken waste particularly shall be disposed of.
