Judgement of the Delhi High Court in the matter of Harish Chander & Ors. Hindustan Petroleum Vs Corporation Ltd. & Ors dated 23/02/2015 regarding restraining the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) from constructing and operating its Petroleum Storage Depot at Tikri Kalan, Delhi.

The Applicant has requested the Court for the HPCL to shift / re-site its Petroleum Storage Installation to a safe distance of a minimum of 10 to 15 Kms. from the village Tikri Kalan, thereby excluding the residents of village Tikri Kalan from the high risk zone in case of fire, explosion or any other accident / incident in the said Petroleum Storage Installation.
