Judgement of the National Green Tribunal attempts to establish a solid waste treatment plant without obtaining necessary approval, Vilappil Panchayat, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, 30/09/2015 [1]

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Southern Zonal Bench, Chennai) in the matter of Vilappilsala Samyuktha Samara Samithi Vilappil Panchayat, Peyad P.O., Thiruvananthapuram.Vs. State of Kerala Represented by its Chief Secretary Kerala Government Secretariat Thiruvananthapuram dated 30/09/2015 regarding attempts to establish a Solid Waste Treatment Plant without obtaining necessary approval and sanction from the State Government, Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and other agencies and praying for a direction against the Municipal Corporation of Thiruvananthapuram, to remove the said Plant and the solid waste accumulated and buried causing damage to the environment in the entire Vilappil Panchayat.
