Judgement of the National Green Tribunal regarding illegal cutting down of trees in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra, 08/01/2016 [1]

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Jayant Baregar Vs State of Maharashtra & Others dated 08/01/2016 regarding illegal cutting down of trees in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra.

Respondent No.1 i.e. Principal Secretary, Department of Revenue and Forest shall issue instructions to both the Revenue and Forest officials in Sindhudurg District to strictly enforce the existing regulations related to cutting of trees in the non-forest areas and may issue suitable comprehensive advisory/guidelines, to reiterate the existing legal provisions, within six weeks.
