Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shiv Prasad Vs Ministry of Environment and Forests & Others dated 25/07/2016 regarding closure of foundries/industries operating without consent to operate/Environment Clearance in Jasodharpur Industrial Area, Uttarakhand.
Counsel appearing on behalf of the foundries/industries presented before the Tribunal minutes of the meeting convened by Deputy Programme Manager of Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) following release of environment assessment report by CSE in June, 2012. NGT notes in the Judgement that the report of CSE in March, 2012 clearly presents the cumulative wrong of the foundries or industries running without EC or without consent under Water and Air Act or otherwise has done to the environment in and around Jasodharpur industrial area.
