The 22nd session of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB-22) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) took place from 19-27 May 2005, in Germany. SB-22 was the final preparatory session prior to the first Conference of Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 1), to be held in November-December, 2005 in Montreal.

Delegates and secretariat staff at the meet appeared comfortable with their preparations for COP/MOP 1. But potential fault lines were exposed when allusions were made to the major questions for the meet, including amendments to the Kyoto Protocol's compliance mechanism and the trigger for post-2012 discussions. But the meet did resolve some long-standing issues, like those regarding the timing of non-Annex I countries' national communications and the Least Developed Countries' fund.
