Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rohit Choudhury Vs. Union of India & Others dated 09/08/2017 regarding wildlife casualties due to vehicular movement on the National Highway-37 passing through the Kaziranga National Park. Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Assam submits that Wildlife Institute of India has made certain recommendations for improving the sensor barriers installed by the State of Assam. These will be followed and improvement thereto in consultation with the Wildlife Institute of India will be completed by 30th September, 2017 positively. Thereafter they would install more sensor barriers particularly in the areas which are known animal corridors.

Court directs that the technological and operational aspects with regard to sensors should be brought to the notice of the Tribunal by filing affidavit and technical data.
