Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Aman Sethi Vs State of Rajasthan & Others dated 15/01/2018 regarding air pollution caused by stone crushing units in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. By a letter dated 06.11.2012, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, directed the appellant (Aman Sethi) to close down his stone crushing plant at Bharatpur. The High Court of Rajasthan allowed the appellant to withdraw his Writ Petition so that it could approach the National Green Tribunal which dismissed the case on the ground of delay. Supreme Court accepts that in the interest of justice, the Writ Petition now needs to be set down for hearing on merits.
