Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehta Vs Union of India & Others dated 11/07/2018 regarding preservation of the Taj Mahal from environmental degradation.
Supreme Court asks for a detailed list of industries within the Taj Trapezium Zone from the Chairman of the Taj Trapezium Zone Authority. The Court notes that no pro-active steps are being taken to preserve the Taj Mahal and meetings are being held without any concrete decisions. We propose to hear the matter on day-to-day basis before Taj Mahal is further damaged.
