Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of In Re: T. N. Godavarman Thirumulpad Vs Union of India & Others dated 11/07/2018 regarding illegal mining in Rohtas region of Bihar.
The State of Bihar has been directed by the Supreme Court to file an affidavit with respect to the recommendations of the CEC dated 13th December 2017. Counsel for the State of Bihar states that recommendations of the CEC are acceptable and have been accepted by the State of Bihar, but are at various levels of implementation and refutes that there is no illegal mining going on in Rohtas region.
