Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Re Exploitation of Children in Orphanages in the State of Tamil Nadu Vs Union of India & Others dated 10/08/2018 regarding state of orphanages in India.

The Court has been informed by National Commission For Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) that the permission to conduct social audit has not been granted by Bihar, U.P. Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, H.P. and Arunachal Pradesh. She says that social audit is in process in the remaining States. Court directs that the details of the social audit should be placed on an affidavit.
