Order of the National Green Tribunal (Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata) in the matter of Subhas Datta Vs Ministry of Railways & Others dated 26/05/2017 regarding waste management of Howrah Railway Station. Subhas Datta, applicant in person, points out that the report of the PCB indicates certain deficiencies in respect of Howrah Railway Station and prays that the railway authorities be directed to comply with the recommendations of the Board towards its mitigation. On perusal of the inspection report, Court find that serious inadequacies have been pointed out by the PCB and given recommendations for mitigation of those. The concerned railway authorities shall ensure that all the inadequacies, infractions, shortcomings, etc., indicated by the PCB are given immediate attention and the recommendations made in the report implemented urgently. 

A compliance report shall be filed before the next date. The State PCB in its turn shall monitor the implementation and also file a report on the next date (17/07/2017).
