Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Anand Vinay Vs State of Karnataka dated 19/12/2018 regarding pollution of lake between Tumkur Road (NH-4) and Magadi Main Road on account of municipal sewage and untreated industrial effluents. A report was submitted by KSPCB before NGT listing the long term and short term action plans to control the lake pollution. [2] Some of the measures include conducting survey of boundary of each lake & provide fencing of these lakes especially Gangondanahalli Lake and evicting the encroachers. Another measure includes identifying illegal discharge/ dumping of sewage into Rajakaluve directly or indirectly with the help of village panchayat officials & to initiate action (if any) against the defaulters.
