Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Jitendra Singh Vs Ministry of Environment & Others dated 06/03/2019 regarding encroachment on water bodies in Khasra Nos. 552 and 490, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The averments made by the applicant were denied by the Respondents in so far as the record of the said water body is concerned. [2] However, the Respondents have submitted that they have already developed the alternative water body which is 1.25 times bigger than the one referred to by the applicant. The Counsel for the Respondent has submitted that he would be filing an affidavit to the effect that the said new water body is in process of development. He would also place on record the photographs with regard to the new water body.

NGT disposes of the application and said "in view of the gesture shown by the Greater NOIDA Authority by developing water body for the sake of environmental benefits to the citizens, nothing further remains in the original application".
