Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of M/s. Deccan Explotech Pvt. Ltd. Vs Ministry of Environment and Forest & Climate Change & Others dated 08/05/2019 regarding illegal running of stone crushing and mining unit in village Yewat, Taluka Daund, District Pune, Maharashtra. It is alleged that requisite clearances have not been obtained and pollution norms are not being followed causing both air and water pollution in the area affecting adversely the environment, health of the people as well as wildlife.

NGT directs State Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and the District Mining Officer, Pune to inspect the stone crushing and mining unit in question and verify on the correctness of the facts. In the event, the allegations are found to be true, appropriate action in accordance with law be taken.
