Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Rakesh Kumar Vs State of Himachal Pradesh dated 25/07/2019 regarding illegal construction on the Mall Road, Shimla at Bridge View Hotel between the nallah flowing between the hotel and Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Shimla. The report by the Director, Town and Country Planning Department stated that illegal construction could not be demolished as the matter was pending before the Additional District Judge, Shimla.

The Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla and the Director, Town and Country Planning Department who were present before the Tribunal were asked to explain how the illegal constructions were allowed, even near the office of the municipal corporation, which they failed to do so. The Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department, Himachal Pradesh has been asked to submit a report on the matter.
