Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Bhudev Singh Vs Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 09/10/2019 regarding remedial action by M/s Hillal Bone Mill at village Babeina, Behjoi Road, District Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh for compliance of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.

The NGT on October 9, 2019 directed the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) to submit the compliance and action taken report on the pollution caused by M/s Hillal Bone Mill at village Babeina, Behjoi Road, District Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Through an order of April 30, 2019 the UPPCB was directed to test the efficacy of bio-filters to check the odour and furnish a further

report. The report stated that the bio-filters was not up to the mark for reduction of odour concentration and thus its working efficiency was coming to only 58.25%.
