Updated action taken report of Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) of July 7, 2020 regarding steps taken after May 4, 2020 with respect to setting up of treatment, storage and disposal facility (TSDF) for hazardous waste at Bawana, Delhi by DSIIDC in the matter of All India Lokadhikar Sangathan Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others.

The proposal of M/S Tamil Nadu Waste Management Limited (TNWLM) for grant of Terms of Reference with respect to the work of treatment, storage and disposal facility was considered by the an Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) and on January 6, 2020 the Terms of Reference were issued by the EAC. On February 26, 2020 - the TNWLM forwarded the Draft EIA report to DPCC for conducting public hearing for environmental clearance by the DPCC. The public hearing was cancelled due to lockdown.

The DSIIDC assured the NGT of expeditious completion of the TSDF project without any delay once the public hearing process was completed and the necessary environmental clearance granted.
