In compliance to the NGT order of July 27, 2020 - the Regional Officer, MPCB and Sub-Regional Officer, MPCB visited Amul Satellite Dairy, village Chandoli, taluka Khed, district Pune.

The report informed the NGT that the actual domestic effluent generation of the industry is 0.35 CMD and the industry has installed combined ETP of capacity of 240 CMD. Treated effluent was recycled in the process for washing activity and remaining was used for gardening and agricultural purposes. The industry has made agreement with nearby farmers for disposal of treated effluent and approximately seven acres of land has been taken from farmers for disposal of trade effluent, the MPCB report said.
