Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of H. C. Arora Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 30/06/2021 regarding illegal cutting of 176 fully grown trees in village Roshanpur, block Bhunar Heri, district Patiala, Punjab. The applicant had made a series of representations to the concerned departments, without any result.

Cutting of trees can be allowed only for some valid justification after requisite clearance under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, the court said and directed that the grievance must be looked into by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (HoFF), Punjab and action taken accordingly.
