Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Niharika Bhadauria Vs State of Madhya Pradesh dated 24/01/2022.
Prayer in the application is for saving 5000 trees in Gwalior, Madya Pradesh. It is submitted in the application that Thatipur re-densification project has begun by shifting of trees which is biologically not possible and will also damage a large population of migratory birds, peacocks, monkeys and other animals. It is also submitted that the housing board of that area should find another suitable location for this project and Thatipur should be declared a heritage site.

The NGT directed the District Forest Officer (DFO), Thatipur, Gwalior to look into the grievance and take remedial action in accordance with the law.
