Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Aman Chaudhary Vs Union of India & Others dated 14/09/2022.
The Director, Directorate of Geology and Mining, Uttar Pradesh was granted one week's time by the NGT to file reply on the complaint of illegal sand mining in Kanpur and Unnao.

It was also said that an unauthorized bridge has been constructed in the middle of the river Ganga due to which the river has got divided into two streams which can also prove to be hazardous to the residents of the nearby villages.
