Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad Vs Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 06/02/2023.
The Supreme Court directed Ghaziabad Development Authority to make payment of Rs. 1,04,20,000 for disposal of legacy waste dumped from the period October 21, 2020 to March 31, 2022. The amount, if not already paid has to be paid by the GDA to the Municipal Corporation, Ghaziabad within a period of one month.

The GDA will file an affidavit before the SC stating the total amount received towards external development charges and utilization and expenditure incurred from the said account.
