With the objective to bring down the prices of sand and gravel in the State of Punjab, the Punjab State Sand and Gravel Mining Policy, 2023 is notified under Punjab Minor Mineral Rules, 2013 framed under section 15 and section 23C of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957. This policy may be called the Punjab State Sand and Gravel Mining Policy, 2023. This policy shall come into force with immediate effect. The para 2 (i), 2(ii) and 2(vii) of mining policy dated 24.08.2022 are hereby repealed and the Royalty and other rates are reinstated as per the policy notification dated 10.11.2021. i.e Rate of Royalty is Rs 0.73/cft, DMF at Rs 0.20/cft and EMF at Rs 0.07/cft along with other charges.
