Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Rajneesh Kumar Pandey & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 14/02/2023.

The Supreme Court directed the states to file reports on the number of children with special needs, the number of special teachers enrolled and the number and status of vacancies. The states were also asked to inform when they propose to fill up the vacancies and meet with the requirement of the SC orders dated October 28, 2021 and May 2, 2022.

The SC asked all the states to file short affidavits on the matter within a period of two weeks and give advance copy of the said affidavits to the amicus curiae for compiling the information for the court.
