Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Banda Nagraj Kumar & Others Vs Maharashtra Maritime Board & Others dated 03/07/2023.
The matter related to dumping of construction debris on the beaches and CRZ area of Aksa beach, Mumbai. The attention of the court was also drawn to the fact that pakka (permanent) constructions are being made in the middle of the beach, which is illegal.

The NGT directed notice to be issued to the MCZMA, Environment Department, Maharashtra; SEIAA, Maharashtra and MoEF&CC. NGT directed submission of a report on the matter and listed the matter on September 4, 2023.
