Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vedprakash Bhatt & Others Vs Northern Solar Energy Private Limited & Others dated 09/08/2023.
The grievance of the applicant is cutting and unnecessary felling of trees (Chid and Baanj) without permission of the Forest Department and the State PCB by Solar Pulse Energy Pvt. Ltd. in village Kunidhar, Almora.

The NGT directed the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board and the Divisional Forest Officer, Almora to examine the matter and for taking proper necessary action. In case of any felling of trees, necessary punitive action must be initiated, in addition to realization of environmental compensation, in accordance with rules.
